Frequently Asked Questions

Over the years our team have encountered many frequently asked questions from our clients which we have published here for your next visit to the Salon.

We are delighted that you want to book an appointment at TIME to be ME. To ensure you get the most from your appointment please be aware of the following:

  • All services will require you to complete a consultation form prior to treatment. These will be sent to you by email or text message – please ensure that you complete and return the form. It is essential to ensure that we can safely perform your treatment.
  • All services which involve tinting require a patch test a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the appointment. Please ensure you have come into the salon for a test. You do not need an appointment for these.
  • Intense Pulsed Light treatments for both hair removal, skin rejuvenation, facial thread veins require a consultation and patch test a minimum 24 hours before treatment. Please book this in if you are booking online.
  • Aesthetic procedures will require a consultation prior to treatment, please book this at least 24 hours ahead of your appointment.

We have a highly trained team of therapists who are continually developing and learning new skills. All staff are qualified to deliver specified treatments.

We do offer a tiered pricing structure which reflects the industry experience that our therapists have. We have done this to enable you to have a choice in how much you pay for certain treatments. If you are unsure about who to book with please give our reception team a call and they will be happy to help you.

We implement an annual price increase on the 1st April each year

You can book appointments in a number of ways:

  • Through our website by clicking on the treatment you require where the option to book will be available.
  • You can download our App from the App store and book online.
  • You can call the salon on 01730 260260 and speak to our reception team who are always happy to help.
  • You can email us with the details of the treatments you require and your availability. Please provide several dates, preferred times and therapist if applicable. 
  • You can also message us through social media including Facebook & Instagram.
  • You can book on behalf of someone else, however we will need to send them a consultation form ahead of their appointment. If you want to do this as a complete surprise please call our reception team to make arrangements.
 

We would encourage you to book your appointment 5 days in advance of the date you are looking for. We are a busy salon and many of our therapists are booked several weeks in advance.

However, we may be able to accommodate a booking for treatment on the same day, you can check availability either on our App or the website. Our reception team are great at finding slots so do give them a call.

From 1st 2022 December we will be taking a minimum £1 deposit on all treatments at the time of booking. If clients book online then their card details are saved and charged the full amount of the appointment for a no show. See below our cancellation policy.

We understand that on occasions you made need to cancel or move your appointment to another day. Therefore you must provide a clear 48 hours notice if you are unable to make your treatment. Failure to do so will result in us taking full payment for the booking Emergency situations such as an accident or unknown sickness will require payment but can be moved to a convenient time dependent on availability. Non emergency situations will not get the treatment moved to another day. If you cancel part of your treatment on the day – eg I don’t need it anymore, we will still take payment unless you have called at least 48 hours ahead.

We love having groups come to us to enjoy some time together with friends and family. Whether this is coming as a couple, or a larger group. You can book for multiple people online but they will have to all be booked as separate individuals. To enable us to cater for groups we would really appreciate you sending us an email with the following:

  • Details of each of the people attending – name, email and mobile phone number
  • Treatments required
  • Ages (if anyone is under 16)
  • Name of the booking coordinator

Please note a group deposit will need to be taken to confirm the booking.

Our App can be downloaded for both Apple and Android phones. 

You will see our Special Offers on the front page of the App as soon as they are launched.

The App enables you to see your booking history, making it easier to rebook your favourite treatments with your preferred therapist.

You can book at any time 24/ 7 from anywhere, even if you remember as you get into bed that you have forgotten to book your appointment, if you are in the office and don’t want to share with everyone you are in need of a wax, it’s so easy!

Our App shows you how many Treat Card points you have available too.

We know sometimes situations arise which make you late for your appointment. Please call us to let us know so we can try to make adjustments to accommodate you.

However, please be aware that your treatment may have to be shortened to enable us to start the appointment following yours on time.

We are open 7 days a week:

Monday and Tuesday 9am – 6pm

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9am – 8pm

Saturday 9am – 4pm

Sunday 10am – 4pm

Unfortunately, we do not have car parking at the salon itself. There is a car park behind Marks and Spencers, which is a 2 minute walk from the salon. Parking here is limited to 90 minutes.

It is sometimes possible to park in the free spaces on St. Peter’s Road.

For longer appointments choose either the Festival Hall car park, where you can park all day, or the Waitrose car park where you can stay for 2 hours.

For disabled clients we can make arrangements for you to be dropped next door to the salon, please call ahead to arrange this. In addition, you will be able to park on St. Peter’s Road if you have a blue badge to display.

Please arrive 5 minutes ahead of your appointment to enable us to get you checked in for your appointment.

Whilst we are operating under COVID measures please do not arrive any earlier as we are trying to reduce the number of people in our reception waiting area.

We have a specially created selection of Mini Me treatments for the under 13s. We are happy to do these treatments on children aged 3 or above, subject to a parent / guardian being with the child.

We do offer other treatments such as gel nails, waxing, spray tans, makeup or facials for those aged 13 – 16 with parental / guardian permission. We do require the child to be accompanied by a parent or guardian for their first appointment. This enables us to check that we have all of the necessary information to proceed with a treatment.

Ear piercing

We restrict this to 6 years and above and they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to complete the necessary legal forms.

We can accommodate private hire of either the whole salon or parts of it for special occasions such as:

  • Hen parties
  • Spa Experiences
  • Make Over parties
  • Mini Me parties
  • Charity fundraising

Everyone is welcome at TIME to be ME. We are able to accommodate wheelchairs in the salon, in addition to having treatment rooms on our ground floor with wheelchair access. If you can contact us ahead of your appointment, if it is your first time with us, this allows us to make sure we have your treatment set up in a manner which will be comfortable for you to enjoy your treatment.

We are happy for you to bring babies / small children with you for short appointments, however they will have to be with you during your treatment. We do, however, ask that you are able to occupy them to make sure we keep a quiet atmosphere for other clients to enjoy their treatments.

You are able to buy products either in the salon or via our online shop. Please allow 48 hours from date of your order for it to arrive with you.

We are also able to register you to buy Alumier products directly from Alumier. However, you will need to have had a skincare consultation prior to using the products as they are a medical grade of skincare with active ingredients.

We offer 0% finance Finance through GoCardless. For more information about our treatment finance options contact us in the Salon or via our contact us  page.

When organising a wedding there are so many plans to make and decisions to be taken that you can get a bit lost and caught up in the stress of the planning. We use Phorest Pay which runs over Stripe. All card numbers are encrypted. None of Stripe’s internal servers and daemons can obtain plain text card numbers but can request that cards are sent to a service provider on a static allowlist. Stripe’s infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers runs in a separate hosting environment, and doesn’t share any credentials with Stripe’s primary services including our API and website.
