We are thrilled to announce that TIME to be ME recently made the finalist stage in the 2021 edition of the national Professional Beauty Awards. We entered the Spa/Salon Team of the Year category and found ourselves up against internationally renowned industry names such as Champneys Spa.
The team attended a very glitz and glam awards ceremony at The Brewery in London, and had a wonderful evening.
So with that in mind, let’s tell you a little bit more about how we got on.
TIME to be ME Reaches National Finalist Stage of PBAs at First Attempt
For those of you that know us well, you’ll be aware that this is the first time we have ever entered a national competition. We knew from our excellent client experience awards that we boast an incredible team. After the challenges of the last 18 months, we thought there had never been a better time to recognise and highlight their incredible work on a national stage.
Little did we know that we would make it through to the final seven salons, which is just incredible given the national scale of the awards. It’s nothing but a testament to the amazing team we have here at TIME to be ME. Unfortunately, we didn’t win, but the eventual winners, Rudding Park Spa of Harrogate, were incredibly worthy winners.
Part of the reason that we managed to reach the final, is that we have kept in touch with the staff throughout the lockdown, ensuring they’re busy and engaged with online training and even charity fundraising, as well as making sure they’re all healthy physically and mentally while they’re not working.
We also decided to let the team answer questions as part of the awards entry, to help gain a better understanding of how they viewed the salon.
We asked them all what animal the salon represented for them and why. When we received the answers we were moved to tears, as we were so touched by how much the staff valued and truly appreciated the workplace they’re in.
The team is at the heart of what we do and without them we wouldn’t be where we are now, so knowing that they hold the salon and its customers in such high regard is so rewarding to us.
Professional Beauty Awards Recognition Caps Transformational 12 Months at TIME to be ME
Despite the challenges with lockdowns and limited trading, TIME to be ME has continued to experience significant growth, thanks, in large part, to our wonderful customers and our devoted team members.
We’ve continued to expand our services by hiring two new apprentices and investing in the new nail spa, which was built earlier this year, boasting new machines for firming and slimming.
Consequently, we now have four pedicure thrones and four nail stations where five apprentices perform luxury, spa-like treatments such as medical pedicures and specialist professional treatments to help with cracked heels, damaged nails, and compromised skin.
That’s in addition to our aesthetics clinic and beauty salon, which offers an extensive range of treatments, including eyelash extensions, waxing, facials, semi-permanent makeup, aesthetic procedures and more.
In total, we now have a team of more than 25 personnel, and we plan on continuing our rapid expansion over the next 12 months.
